Sia Yen has over 19 years of experience advising a wide range of clients, including international and domestic energy companies, major utilities, national oil companies, sovereign wealth funds, private equity houses, government bodies and single asset operators.
Sia Yen advises on a broad range of complex regulatory issues and legal framework, with a particular focus on structuring the development, construction and financing of major infrastructure and sustainable land developments, renewable energy projects, acquisition of upstream assets, refinery complex, wastewater treatment plants, port privatisation and the design, development, and implementation of controls to manage the regulatory risks.
With the increased global attention on decarbonisation, renewable energy sources, security of supply, ESG and net zero targets, Sia Yen has been active in providing practical and innovative advice on these issues in a wide variety of contexts, including implementing regulatory reform, assisting clients with evolutionary changes to their business strategies, and conducting due diligence and structuring acquisitions or disposals of businesses
