Nurul Syahirah Azman

Nurul is a senior associate with the Technology, Media and Telecommunications practice group at Zaid Ibrahim & Co.

She frequently advises clients in the field of corporate and commercial matters, including franchise law, competition law, technology and communications, and personal data protection.

Nurul frequently advises clients, both foreign and local on franchise registration in Malaysia, structuring of franchise businesses and general franchise law compliance. Nurul led the team for several successful foreign franchisor registrations with the Registrar of Franchises.

Nurul also advises foreign and local clients on its data protection system for compliance with local data protection law, advising clients in instances of data breaches and appearing before the regulator when clients are called for interviews by the regulator.

Nurul led the team that filed several exemption applications for joint business arrangements to the Malaysian Aviation Commission, involving a Malaysian aircraft carrier.
